Feast your eyes on a clearer picture (compared to the blurry magazine shot) of Satoh Takueru’s Himura Kenshin. In addition to this, Oricon Style has also released shots with Takei Emi as Kaoru.
The film adaptation of the popular anime and manga series has just finished filming and is set to be released on 25th August 2012.

First Look At The Live-Action Adaptation Of “Rurouni Kenshin”
Here’s your first look at Himura Kenshin in the live-action adaptation of Rurouni Kenshin. Himura Kenshin is played by Satoh Takeru (Bloody Monday, MR. BRAIN).
The live-action film will be released in Japan on August 25th, 2012.
So how do you guys like the live-action adaptation? At first glance I thought Satoh’s side profile looked a little like a younger Sorimachi Takashi in GTO.

“Ranma 1/2” TV Special Trailer
Here’s your first look at the Ranma 1/2 2-hour TV special, which will be airing in December. The thirty-second trailer shows us most of the main cast in their costumes as well as let us get a feel of how the real-life adaptation will be like. It’s looking to have the usual feel of comedy and light-heartedness that the manga and anime seem to have.
And it has Genma in Panda form.
God, that panda. What more can I say? So what do you guys think of the trailer and the TV special? I have high hopes for it to just make me laugh out loud.[YouTube]
Fan Goes Through Surgery To Look Like Superman
Well there’s an attempt to look like your favorite hero or villain. Then there’s this.
Herbert Chavez, a 35-year-old Filipino man is easily one of the biggest Superman fans on the face of the planet. His room is littered with a multitude of Superman memorabilia. But what sets Chavez apart from other Super Fans, is the fact that he’s gone through extreme measures to look like the Man of Steel.
IKAW NA!

That Girl Is Poison: “Street Fighter X Tekken” Cinematic Trailer
You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting to use a reference from the criminally underrated Bel Biv Devoe hit. Probably just as long I’ve been waiting to use a reference to Skee-Lo’s “I Wish”.
In a new batch of Street Fighter X Tekken trailers, a few more characters have been revealed for the title. Among them is Final Fight’s Poison, the manager of Hugo in Street Fighter III. Other trailers also revealed Yoshimitsu, Dhalsim and Steve Fox. From the looks of the trailer, it appears that Haggar, Cody and Guy are in it.
And speaking of Street Fighter III, Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online finally got a release date along with its new trailer.
Gamers will get the chance to play what is arguably one of the greatest 2D fighting games ever crafted on August 23. Hopefully Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 should tide you over until March 2012’s date for Street Fighter X Tekken.
Although, if you’re like me, you’ll wish it was here a bit sooner
